Cacao benefits and side effects - Healthtrends

The same way it does in coffee/tea?

Every morning I add a few grams of pure, unsweetened, raw cacao powder (100 %) in my milkshake, along with a teaspoon of cinnamon, bananas, bran, raw almonds, mik and whey protein.
However, I have been asking myself this question lately:
Do you guys think or know if the cacoa powder is more nutritious in terms of antioxidant content than the traditionnal dark chocolate (70 to 80 %)? Or is dark chocolate more "concentrated" (in the sense that the process of making it would require much more cacao power and it turn, would make it more nutritious)?
Proportionally-speaking of course, i.e a spoon of powder versus of few squares of chocolate.
I know this is a very specific question. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I will put the question here, if there is an answer that I didn't see and the post is not useful to others, it's fine if it gets removed. Said this: I have a question about chocolate. I read through different articles (if you need me to post them, just tell me) that chocolate is actually really nutritious and could be a good thing to integrate it from 10 to 50grams per day in any diet. What's your opinions about this? Does someone tried it out? Does someone do it? There are true healthy benefits about it or? Thank you all guys, you are always helpful

I’m not talking about the ones that are full of sugar but called dark chocolate, I’m taking about ones with 70-90% cocoa. Those are amazing! I’m only 14 so it’s pretty unpopular from my POV, almost everyone I know thinks it’s just bitter.
It’s bitter the first few times you eat it, but the more you eat the better it gets, and it can get quite good. When you put it in your mouth for a long time it feels like any other chocolate.

Before I start, I would like to make this post directed to the brothers who are near my age and would like to try making this kind of love to their partners. I understand how hard it is for you because our development makes it so hard to control our sexual urges at times. There would be times where I couldn't even be around my S/O longer than an hour or else I got blue balls. If this is a common thing you suffer experience, please read on even if you dont want to practice intercourse.
By no means am I amazing at this, but I know a few fellow retainers my age who would plan to practice non ejaculatory sex/suffer from blue balls and would like help on this subject. I hope you all find some benefits to reading this post.
Some of my favorite benefits I feel right now (6 hours later) are:
-Intense strength: I feel powerful physically and mentally. I feel like able to control and create every aspect of my life
-Vitality: After releasing, we all know how lethargic you feel. After I was done, I felt like I was able to run a 5k. I felt my essence surging through my body
-Calmness: I have no stress about anything right now. Its is a common thing we experience when all the chemicals we get during sex are released into our body. I have an intense peace of mind because of the fact I was transmuting and focusing on breath/energy work during the deed. We will get into that later.
-Love: I feel so loved by my partner. What I feel right now has never been this intense or passionate. Even though I'm currently away from her right now, I feel very connected
-Spiritual: We all know when we retain, we feel more connected to The Most High. We feel connected to the source and everything in the universe is just right. I feel that but times 10. My frequency is so high, I feel sure and confident about the future that I will create. (My partner and I manifested during this time together).
-No post nut clarity (my favorite benefit of all): Whenever we release, many chemicals such as testosterone, oxytocin, seratonin, and dopamine are released intensely and all at once. After this happens, men tend to loose some attraction to their partner because of the fact that we performed our biological role as human beings. I know when I have post nut clarity after sex, I just wanna play video games or be away from my partner. However this time I just wanted nothing more than to just cuddle with her.
-Increased drive to accomplish goals: Kind of related to the previous benefit, but when we have non ejaculatory sex, we technically don't complete our biological roles (which is to spread our genes). I think this is why I feel so motivated to work on my source of income, focus on school, exercise, and even write this post right now.
-Still have all the benefits of my 56 day Semen Rentention streak: Self explanatory.
How was I able to do this:
-Lust: 50% of the work comes from the lack of lust. When we have lust, we have urges to release. By not having lust, I was able to focus on the intense love that my partner and I have and show that love to her for two hours straight. You have to convince yourself that you are doing this to embrace the love that you two have. Whenever you have a sexual thought during sex, try your best to turn it into love. You both have to do this. Ever since conquering lust I have not experienced blue balls (I use to experience it every day at one point). I think lust is the main reason a lot of us are not able to do this
-Mindset: Have purpose for what you are trying to do and focus in that purpose while you have sex. Our purpose was to manifest the life that we want as well as embrace eachothers love. This connects to the first point. When you have the urge of lust during sex, look back on why you're having it in the first place. (This is my new personal belief about sex, but hopefully it gives you an idea and what you want yours to be). I feel like sex is something really serious and it should be used as a way to embrace someone's love, procreate, and/or manifest. Napoleon Hills "Think and Grow Rich" has been a huge influence on my views on sex when I read it at 15. He said "Sexual energy is the creative energy of virtually all geniuses. There never has been and never will be a great leader, builder, or artist lacking in this driving force of sex." I see sex as an opportunity to transmute energy and create something with it whether physical or metaphysical. My girlfriend and I are both very spiritual and have been together for two years before having sex. We both created similar views together.
-Communication: Have a talk with your partner about what you're gonna do and why you're gonna do it. Have key words to use when you're getting too lustful. During the deed, my partner saved me multiple times from going past my comfort number on the scale as u/seedpotion describes in this post (aka PONR). I was starting to be lustful, so she said our key word "Pikachu" and I realized what I was doing.
-Reverse kegals: Reverse kegals have helped a tremendous amount. It trained me to keep my pelvic floor a little more lose during the action. When we tighten our pelvic floors, we tend to get more aroused (atleast I do). Reverse kegals reminded me to keep it loose and don't tighten anything up. We have all done it. You know when you're playing videogames and the match is about to start but you have to pee so you run to the bathroom, flush the toilet as soon as you enter,and force all the pee out before the match starts? That's reverse kegals hahaha. Only difference is you let it flow naturally for a few seconds, then push the rest out and repeat. I find reverse kegals more useful than normal kegals, but normal kegals helps a lot if you go past the PONR. It saved me about once.
-Breath work/energy work: Breath/energy work was a huge factor in all of this. It alleviated a lot of pressure I was feeling, prevented me from experiencing blueballs, and transmuted energy. Some of the techniques I used was focusing on my breath and being aware, Breathing from the balls, qigong, and focusing on the cosmic orbit. My partner doesn't really practice qigong as much as I do, but a quick rundown before hand helped her alot. It was amazing, when we focused on the cosmic orbit together, I swear to you I litterally felt energy being transfered.
-Chakras/crystals: I know Chakras and crystals (crystals specifically) have a stigma about that whole woo woo new age thing going around but Socrates said something like "It is the trait of a wiseman to entertain thought he does not beleive". Let's do that for a minute. Having my first three chakras (root, sacral, solar plexus) balanced beforehand helped immensely. If you are not familiar with chakras, the root chakra is responsible for survival (biological need of sex in this case), the sacral is responsible for creativity and sexuality, and the solar plexus is responsible for willpower. It is easy to see how these chakras relate to non ejaculatory sex, so im not gonna spend too much time on it because it can take hours. This is a video that gives you an introduction to chakras that will better explain it in a shorter amount of time. It will help make the connections if you havent already. Crystals are objects that hold intense vibration and frequency. This short video (by the same person) will explain crystals faster and more concise than I can. You can make the connection yourself, im starting to realize how long this post is. The crystals I used were Black Tourmaline (For root chakra, very protective, transforms negative energy), Carnalian (for sacral chakra, stimulates and balances creativity and sexuallity) and Tigers eye (for solar plexus chakra, enhances will power and brings determination), and Clear Quartz (enhances other crystals as well as balances all your chakras). I'd like to close this paragraph by saying our reality and the things within it are what we belive it to be.
-The million dollar spot: For emergencies only. .Thankfully I didnt resort to it. Essentially, it is a pressure point between your anus and your penis that you can press on that will stop ejaculation (can be dangerous if done incorrectly).
-Healthy diet: This isn't as important as the other ones, but will make you last a lot longer. Foods that will help you in bed are pomegranate, beetroot, pineapple, blue berries, cacao powder, dark chocolate, black coffee, salmon (high in omega 3 fatty acids), and almonds. Even if you're not about to have sex, I've noticed eating this enhanced what I experience on a semen retention streak.
Again I would like to say by no means am I pro at this, and my journey is just getting started with non ejaculatory sex. Hopefully I can build this up to a non ejaculatory orgasm. Again I would like to thank u/seedpotion and Sexual Kung Fu for your help.
My advise to my fellow young retainers: Try to control your lust. That is honestly the key to retaining long periods, alleviating blueballs, and non ejaculatory sex. I know it can be hard at times, but belive that you can and you will. Lustful sex is 1000x better in our imagination than in reality I can promise you that. But non ejaculatory sex/karezza is everything you'd want to experience with someone. Be careful who you choose your partners to be. Know them well so that you dont exchange any negative energy. If she doesn't add any value to your life she isn't worth it.

I'm attempting to recreate "Mud/Wtr" For a fraction of the price - I'm mixing a blend of ground mushrooms, chai tea powder, curcumin, cacao powder, and cinnamon. However, when I pour hot water over it, there is lots of inground material at the bottom. I suspect the mushrooms are a bit insoluble, as they make up a large part of the powder. I tried dissolving it in double the water, and it worked a bit better.
My question is this: Can I put the ground mushrooms in a coffee filter, pour hot water over them, and extract the health benefits, like one does with coffee? Or will this not work? Futhermore, are there any ways to make a smoother drink/increase solubility without removing (or even adding) more health benefits?

Chocolate is good for you because it's full of polyphenols and flavonoids and those are associated with a number of health benefits. However, consumer reports listed tons of chocolate, cacao powders, cacao nib brands that are heavily contaminated with metals...yikes.
For example, 'Hershey's Cocoa 100% Cacao Natural Unsweetened' was not approved as it had 4.3mcg of CADMIUM per serving. Also, Lindt 90% Dark Chocolate didn't make the cut.
'Lily's Dark Chocolate - Stevia Sweetened 55% Cocoa' was approved though
Which ones do you guys use? I'll do some research and see if I can find out if the brands you use have heavy metal contaminants!
